Fourth of July Picnic

On the Actual Holiday

Monday July 4

2 to 7 p.m.

Since we have now relocated our holiday weekend picnics  to  Glendale's Creekside Park, Boomer Social Network will also have a picnic and dance on Monday July 4.

We normally do our picnics on Sundays but the City of Glendale will have a huge fireworks display on Saturday Night July 2 with thousands of people attending.  The Glendale Parks workers need a full day to totally clean the park and the surrounding area.

We now start our events earlier--2 p.m. and finish by 7 p.m.

The facilities will be really clean for our Picnic and Dance on Monday July 4--The Actual Independence Day Holiday.

7th Annual
Independence Weekend
Adult Singles
Picnic & Dance
Monday July 4
(The actual day!)
Creekside Park
Cherry & Virginia
(Near Glendale Bridge)
Glendale 80246

The annual Boomer Social Adult Singles Independence Weekend Picnic and Dance has moved from Foothills Golf Course in Lakewood to Glendale's Creekside Park along Cherry Creek near the Glendale Bridge.
The picnic will start earlier--2 p.m. This way we can be well ahead of the late afternoon storms.

The price has been reduced to $10 and you can bring your own alcoholic beverages.

There are two (2) well-maintained, sand volleyball courts. Large grass areas are available for kickball & Frisbee.
Rock and roll music and some country will be played for dancing.
Two grills will be lit to cook hot dogs and marshmellows. Chips, cookies, a tropical fruit bowl and soft drinks are included.
You can bring your own beer, wine, and hard liquor to this park! (A major savings. Since no bartender or bar prices required) The new King Sooper Liquor Store is only 300 yards away and open on Sunday.
Plenty of parking spots are adjacent to Creekside Park. It is near the intersection of East Virginia and South Cherry. (Simplified for the guys--Three blocks east of Shotgun Willies)
